This seems to be an extra piece which is riveted on to the main wheel arch/bumper and given it is already at maximum tyre diameter it's not going to get any worse with suspension compression. The worm-drives don't come close anywhere else so I can't see Sahara's in the same size from rubbing anywhere. This piece is fairly soft and flexible, so if it did hit, it would just move it out of the way and it's only at full lock, so I think I will be fine.

I checked full lock to full lock, my worm-drives get to about 10-15mm of a small piece of plastic mud-guard which hangs down at the front. We had a bit of snow here today, but I am going to try full lock on my worm drives 215/75r15 tomorrow and measure the clearance before hitting the button on the Saharas.

I would think the saharas will be around 10mm larger in diameter
So all good
This year I intend to drop back down to +2" springs but still retain the 7.50 16

I've managed to find a jimny I pick up tomorrow 2007 body lift wil allow me to fit bigger tyres and is cheaper? Or is it? Time you extend brake lines ? Extend bumper brackets
is it just easier and better better suspension lift instead ? OK costs more but what else will I need is it a simpler and better option to enable me to fit some bigger tyres ?

+2" lift and a little trimming will let you run 235/75r15 which is about as big as you can go without re-gearing and lots more hassle and expense. For the relatively low price of a Black Raptor kit I would just do that and not mess about with a body lift (especially as you don't know how old the existing suspension is, and whether it will need replacing anyway). For laning this set up will let you run with Landies and similar, no problem.

A body lift doesn’t lift the chassis or the radius arms which hang down quite low. However, check with your insurance company that a suspension change is allowable.
Personally, I wouldn’t lift it straight away, I would run it as standard for a while.

On the other hand, some (most?) Jimny fans who fit a lift kit and bigger tyres do it just for the looks, in which case might as well do it sooner than later. You pays your money and you takes your choice...
Anyway, congrats @nutter2 on the new Jimny and welcome to the club!

Solid advice there. Run it as-is for 6 months or so, and you might find that your particular usage pattern doesn't need a suspension lift.Personally, I wouldn’t lift it straight away, I would run it as standard for a while.
